Walleye Weekend

Today was a big day. Kole turned 5 months old and it was our 5 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate we did the 3 mile family walk at Walleye Weekend (an annual festival held at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac) with grandpa Dan. It was also Walleye Weekend the Saturday we got married. Kole did such a great job during the walk. He zonked out about the last mile of the walk in which we finished in 52 minutes. Next year maybe mom and dad will attempt the two mile run. Here is a picture of the four of us before heading out to the park for the 8:20 a.m. start. Kole was too intrigued with the flag flying that he couldn't concentrate on the camera.
Grandpa had some friends playing in the volleyball tournament and he wanted to show little Kole off. So we decided to let grandpa try the Baby Bjorn. What a cute pair. It was a very hot and sunny day. After the walk we had to take a break from the sun and we headed back to grandpa's house. We tried to go back out later in the day but a big storm came through and shut down the festivities. There is a huge kid area at Walleye Weekend each year, it will be exciting to take Kole there when he gets a little older.

The picture of Grandpa Dan and Kole is Grandpa's favorite! He was so happy to have that made into a magnet for our refrigerator. And he was so proud to walk around with him at Walleye Weekend. Just look at that cute smile on Kole's face?? How can you not think he is the cutest baby ever? We just love him to pieces.
