Flooding in Oshkosh

We had some severe storms and torrential rain in Oshkosh tonight. Kent could not make it home from work. Every route he tried to take was flooded. Many cars were stuck and yards under water. He had to leave our car in the Target parking lot and had his boss, who owns a Hummer, pick him up and bring him home. Kole and I were starting to get worried. We were so glad to have daddy home. Even though trucks and SUV's aren't great for gas mileage right now, it would have been nice to have one to get through the streets. After dinner we went outside and realized that our street too had started to flood. This is what it looked like at the end of our driveway. The water was very cold and dirty. We are so thankful that we did not have any flooding in our house. What a year we are having for Kole to be born in. First all the snow, now all the rain!
This is the corner in front of our house. There are two drains near our corner but with as much water as we had they just couldn't keep up. We are praying that tomorrow when we pick up our car it is okay. The last time the rain was this bad Kent and I were out of town celebrating our honeymoon and we came back to a flooded vehicle. I sure hope it doesn't happen again.

We've been thinking so much about you. Glad to hear you weren't flooded. We're hoping to see you next weekend at Scotty's wedding.
