A Day on the Farm

This past weekend we headed to Pickett, WI to celebrate "A Day on the Farm." It is a day for kids in memory of the Kumbier families little boy who lost his life to a brain tumor at a very young age. It is a free event with all donations given to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
There was so much to do, we didn't know where to begin. Kole immediately saw the sand box and headed right for it.

Then we went and sat in "The Big Green Tractor!"

Is he cute or what?

Next up, feeding the goats. First, Kole just wanted to help mom.

He tried to do it on his own but kept giggling at how funny it felt.

It was a gorgeous weekend for the event.

In addition to a sand box they had a corn box, which was really neat. I think Kole liked how it felt on his feet. We didn't stay in there long though as big kids kept stealing Kole's pail and shovel.

While he was playing in the corn box I waited in line for the pony ride, it was quite long! Worth the wait though, Kole loved it!

Our little scarecrow, ironic because I think this is what he is actually going to be for Halloween.

Off to the hayride. (I think Kole is still swallowing a drink of his water here, hence the strange face.)

It got very long, good thing I brought some books along to read.

Before we left we decided to go make our own butter. (They give you a little canister, all you do is shake it!)

With so much to do and all his energy out Kole completely crashed in the car on the way home. I thought it would be easy to transfer him from the van to his crib but the little stinker decided that his cat nap in the van was enough for the day. He absolutely would not fall asleep once we got home, bummer!
