At the end of June we headed over to Wisconsin Dells for a much needed mini-vacation. When we got to town we stopped at the Paint It Pottery Shop to make a little momento for Kole. We decided we would make Kole's "foot"print on a "foot"ball. Here I am painting the football.

Then it was time to prepare Kole's foot. He kept giggling as it really tickled.

Then the hard part of trying to press his footprint against the football. It ended up turning out as good as it could. I really don't claim to be an artist, so I did my best.

For the first few days we stayed with Kent's family at Christmas Mountain, a timeshare village. Kole just got a kick out of the phone in our room and would play with it every chance he got. He would keep picking it up and say, "Woo, woo. woo, woo, woo." It was really cute.

Unfortunately, while we were there Kole had a little accident. While trying to play mini-golf with grandma and grandpa he slipped and hit his head on a rock. Thankfully an EMT was on staff to help them get it cleaned up and he told them it did not need stitches. He is such a trooper.

The weather was not overly hot while we were there but we were able to sneak off to the pool one afternoon. Kole is a huge fan.

Taking a break and eating a little snack.

Posing with mom and dad.

We also hit up the indoor water area on the last morning before we had to check out. Here is daddy helping Kole play on a whale.

Then Kole wanted to try out the froggy slide.

Even though it was a chilly day after checkout we bundled up and decided to take a Ducks ride. Kole loved it. We were really happy that he sat through the entire hour ride and did not make any crying scenes. The Ducks go on both land and water, they are really neat, plus you get a tour of the Dells and receive some history along the way.

Here is what one of the Ducks looks like.

After the Ducks ride Kole said bye and gave a big hug to cousin Micah.

And to cousin Anna.

Checking out Pirate's Cove. We were trying to buy some time after the Ducks ride until our hotel room was ready so we could take Kole over for a nap. Even though the rest of the family checked out and headed home we decided to stay for one more night.

What a sweet picture.

After Kole's nap that day we headed over to the Tommy Bartlett Show. It is an hour and a half show and we were a little hesitant as Kole is all about running around right now, but it was a complete hit. He loved watching the skiiers and got sad when they were done. He kept saying more, more.

After the show we went to our favorite restaurant, Moosejaw.

Since it is such a popular restaurant we had to wait for a table. They have a game room in the basement where we found a horse for Kole to take a ride on while we waited.

They always give the kids a moose hat to wear, of course Kole's only lasted about a second, he ripped it right off.

After dinner we headed back to our hotel to take a quick swim and head off to bed. Here are Kole and I coming down the water slide. It was really fast!

Kole and daddy. What you don't see is that Kole and daddy almost fell right over in the slide because it was so fast. Daddy made a nice recovery. The pool water was very cold so we did not stay very long.

The next morning, it was cold again, so in our pants and sweatshirts we decided to take another boat ride.

Here is a picture of the boat behind Kole and I. We sat on top because we thought we would see more, but what a mistake, it was freezing!

After the boat ride we headed over to a family fun center so Kole could run around and work off some energy before our ride home. Here is Kole and daddy in a big bouncy basketball gym.

They had these neat bikes that we could ride around as well.

I was riding behind them so Kole kept turning around to see me, which was scary because you could not strap him in. He did sit very well though and enjoyed the ride.

A quick pic with mom before we were done.

When our time was done at the family fun center we ate a quick lunch and headed home. It was nap time so Kole slept the whole way home, it was great. Our mini-vacation in the Dells was a blast and we are so thankful for the time we get to spend with family.
