Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very busy Memorial Day weekend (I know again I am pretty late with the post). On Saturday we headed down to Milwaukee to spend the day at the zoo with some of our college friends.
Left to right: Brady (20 months), Mason (6 months) and Kole (16 months). What a cute crew!
Kole and daddy checking out the gorilla.

It got to be a pretty hot day out so Kole was trying to keep cool anyway possible.

Aw, he makes dad so proud!

Hey dad, I need a refill, this ones all gone!

My two boys, taking a stroll. Wow, I am such a lucky lady!

The lion's den was a hit. They were ginormous. It was so awesome. Mason and Kole weren't even scared when the lion would walk right in front of them.

Mommy and her little cuddler. The zoo was such a blast. We heard it was rated number two in the nation. We'll definitely go back for another visit.

Since all of our plans for the weekend were in the Milwaukee/Racine area we stayed in a hotel for a few nights. Here is daddy and Kole watching a Word World video on Sunday morning. Kole got such a kick out of the hotel. The only bad thing was that the pool was freezing so we didn't get to swim much.

On Sunday afternoon we headed to our friends Sara and Wes's house for their son Grant's first birthday party. Here is his really cool Mickey Mouse cake.

And another really cool cake for the rest of the party to eat.

Kole had a great time chasing the balloons around.

We bought Grant a fridge toy just like Kole has. Kole is a huge fan so we thought maybe Grant would be too.

Sunday night we headed to the McGrath's house (who were at the zoo with us) for a cookout. Kole had a blast hanging out with Mason. They look like little buddies in this shot.

Here they are just rolling around. Kole had such a long day he slept wonderful at the hotel that night.
On Monday afternoon we headed to the Milwaukee Brewer game, our third and Kole's second of the year. Here are Kole and daddy posing with some of the saussge racers.

And they're off!

It was a really close finish. Kole will appreciate these gimmicks when he is a little older!

Despite taking a great nap at the hotel that morning Kole still slept through half the game. Maybe because it was so boring, not many hits and no runs until the bottom of the tenth when Bill Hall had a walk off hit to win the game! We must bring the Brewers luck, they always win when we are there.

During the game the annoucer always pitches for Bell by saying, "Remember if it doesn't say Bell on the side, you've just been taken for a ride." Kent and I get a kick out of that so we just had to pose a picture in front of one.

The game was a total sellout and parking was hard to come by. They started having people park on the street that surrounds the park, which was great for us, look how close to the park we were.

Overall, it was an awesome weekend. It was great to see all of our friends and spend some quality time together as a family. We are so blessed!
