Happy New Year!

Last year at this time we were expecting our precious little boy. This year he got to ring in the new year with us (well he was acutally sleeping but you know what I mean). To celebrate the occasion we went out to dinner at IHOP. Afterwards we headed to the YMCA for the family night they were hosting. First we started off in the soccer arena where Kole had a great time pushing the ball around with dad.

Neither Kent or I are really big fans of soccer but Kole really seems to enjoy it.

Next we headed to the swimming pool, which was an absolute zoo. We couldn't believe how many people brought their families to the Y.

Kole absolutely loves the water, which we are thankful for.

All done swimming and time for pj's.

The Y held a mock new year celebration at 8 o 'clock in their lobby. They provided hats for all the kiddos as well. Kole hated it being on his head so I am surprised I was able to capture such a good picture.

The Y also gave us blow horns. Kole was smart enough to know that it goes in his mouth but couldn't quite get it to make noise. Maybe next year!

When we got home Kole was ready for bed. Surprisingly mom and dad made it to midnight. I kept myself busy by making a scrapbook of Kole's first year. Dad kept himself up by watching some of the parties they have on tv. We should have known better though and went to bed when Kole did. Since Kole is such a poor sleeper he was up at 12:30 and kept mom up until 2. Needless to say I was pretty tired the next day. Anyways, Happy New Year! May the Lord bless you and your family in 2009.
