Dubuque, IA

On Saturday morning we all headed down to Dubuque, IA to spend some time with Kent's extended family. Before hitting the road we needed to wear the little guy out so he would take a nap in the car. He just hates car rides for some reason so we have to schedule our drives around nap time. Kent stuck him in this toy wagon and he got a kick out of it.
Somebody pull me!
And then he stuck him in this box. Who needs toys? (His shirt that day was so cute, it read "Who needs Santa when I've got Grandpa!")

We ate at a restaurant right in the Dubuque Mall. Afterwards we took the kiddos to play in the play area. Here is Kole going down the slide backwards. As you can see he has a different shirt on. He played a little too quick after eating and spit up all over his other one.

We left Dubuque around his afternoon nap time but only got as far as Madison before he woke up. So we stopped at the mall there for some supper and light shopping and then headed back to Oshkosh when it was bedtime. It was a long weekend but it was great to be able to see all of our families.
