Kole Robert Arrives!

Kelly was experiencing minor irregular contractions all weekend long. They started to become regular Sunday night around at 11:30pm. We decided to go to the Mercy Medical Center at 6:00am on Monday, January 7th. When we arrived, Kelly was only 3cm dilated. She was struggling through the contractions and the immense amount of pressure from the baby pushing down that at 9:00am, the doctor broke her water. Since the pain continued, she decided to take the epidural at 9:45am which turned out to be a huge godsend. At this time, she was 5cm dilated and progressing slowly. The doctor decided to give her pitocin through the IV. This helped greatly as Kelly was ready to push at noon. The tough part of labor lasted for a little over 2 hours and our beautiful baby boy was born at 2:20pm. Kole Robert weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
